Saronsberg can be found in the Upper Breede River Valley of the beautiful town of Tulbagh. Saronsberg is made up of two farms called Waveren and Welgegund. The farm formed part of the Twee Jonge Gezellen until it was divided between the two Krone brothers in the 1950s. It was at this time that the farm was renamed after the mountain, Saronsberg, on whose slopes their vines now lay.
The first Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested in 2004 and won many awards. Winemaker Dewaldt was awarded membership to the Cape Wine Makers’ Guild.
